In memory and honour of my Mum I have raised about £3,000 since 2004 while doing my short challenges. I would like to thank everybody who has sponsored and supported me over the last two years. Every bit of encouragment by word of mouth or donation is extremely appreciated.
The BCC funds research into cures for Breast Cancer, I hope that by helping them I can help other people fight the disease. My Mum was an inspiration and her love will never be wasted while she constantly inspires me to do more challenges for a worthy cause.

So why ride End to End, Lands End to John O'groats?
For me it's always been an ambition since the age of about 11. Firstly I'd wanted to ride the coast to coast or run the London Marathon or climb Ben Nevis. Well for various reasons, mainly a distinct lack of confidence none of these ambitions were reached, despite being extremely fit in my teenage years. (Only now do I realise! )
It's the thought of riding from one end of our country to the other, to be able to say you've ridden the length and breadth of Britain would be most satisfying. For most cyclists I guess this is the ambition.

Incredibly even in torrential rain you need to hydrate yourself, who'd have thought it. This was taken on the notorious A66 though you wouldn't think it. Sunday morning on the second day of the Coast to Coast, I was pleased to be on my way home to Guisborough. The warmth and hospitality of our B&B hostess was beyond words, particularly the miserable walk into Kirkby Stephen for MORE cash as the "cheque was just for insurance".
